Referral Programme

Know an engineer or manager worth hiring, a company worth knowing, or a role in my niche?
Send them my way, and get paid when it works out.

Most of my work comes through people I know. A quick introduction from you can become a new job for someone in your network, or a new client for me. When your introduction turns into a placement and I get paid, you'll get paid too.

Three ways to refer
1
Refer a candidate

Know an engineer or engineering manager who's open to a move, or who'd suit a role I'm working on? I recruit Automation and Control Systems Engineers, Electrical Engineers, and Mechanical Engineers across New Zealand, with some work in Australia. Email me a written introduction, and if I place them, it counts.

2
Refer a new client

Know a company that hires these kinds of engineers? Recommend me via email to the hiring manager. A written intro is what I can date and track. If it leads to a role I fill for them, that counts.

3
Refer a job opportunity

Heard about a specific vacancy at a company I don't already work with? Point me to it with a quick email intro, and if it turns into a placement, that counts.

What you get
$500 for every successful referral

The same figure for all types of referral.
If your referral leads to a placement, you're paid once I've been paid and the 90 day guarantee has passed.
Refer as many people, companies, or roles as you like. There's no cap.

Referral programme

How it works

Send me the details in writing, an email, so there's a record and a date on it. A name and a way to reach them is enough. For a person, only pass on the details of someone who's happy to hear from me. For a company, a short written introduction recommending they talk to me is what counts, since a verbal heads-up is hard for me to track.

I'll tell you if it's a new lead. If the person or company is already someone I'm working with, I'll let you know, and it won't qualify. Your introduction also needs to reach me before they come to me another way. If two people refer the same lead, the first introduction is the one that counts.

Your introduction has 12 months to land. If a placement comes from it within 12 months, you're paid.

You're paid once the placement sticks and I've been paid. The reward follows once the placed person has passed 90 days in the role and the client has settled my invoice, whichever comes later. By 90 days my placement guarantee has lapsed and the fee is secure. I'll request your bank account details and pay you within 7 days of that point.

I'll pay by bank transfer, or you're welcome to invoice me if you'd rather. The reward is yours to declare, and depending on your situation you may need to account for tax or GST on it.

Sending me a referral means you accept these terms. This is my way of saying thanks, offered at my discretion, and I may update how it runs over time.
